I'm loving this retirement thing. It's exhausting!

I like retirement
Hello everyone,
A lot has been happening in my life but it is all for the better. Early last Saturday morning they woke me up and put me in the hauler. I wasn't sure where I was going, but I had seven other friends with me, so I was OK. Then some people put us into various vans and cars and we rode some more. When we got out of the vehicles, we thought we were going into another kennel, but this was different. They took pictures of us, gave us a bath, poked and prodded us and then we went back into the vehicles. This time it was just two of us and we traveled back to the place where we started. I wasn't sure these people knew what they were doing and when another lady took me and put me into another van by myself, I was worried. She seemed nice so I just settled down and took a nap. When we stopped, the lady took me into a building, but it was much nicer than a kennel. There were soft places to lay and water when I wanted it and even some treats. Yummm! There were also three other guys like me so I knew I was going to be OK. The lady explained she was my foster mom (FM) and she was going to take care of me until I found my own family. WOW, that sounded like a good thing. My FM said I am going to learn some new things like going outside to pee and poop and to walk on lead and to go up and down some steps.
I am getting used to my foster home. I like the soft beds and the yard to run in and especially my three friends, Greys, Sunny and Missy. They are teaching me the ropes and helping me to adjust. There are a lot of hugs and kisses from my FM at this place. I didn't like that at first, but Sunny showed me it was a good thing. I think I am going to like the tummy rubs especially.
That is about all for now. Thanks for reading about me.
Until later,
Stride
